Returns and Cancellation Policy

First off, we'll do everything to make sure you're happy with your purchase. If you need to cancel or change your order, please do so within 24 hours, since our prints are custom made and production starts after that window.

For defective items: Email us photo evidence within 5 days of receiving your items.

If you're not happy with your purchase, we'll gladly help you with a return. Just email us at info@artjapan.co.uk. Keep in mind, all our products are custom made, and our return policy lasts 30 days. If it's been over 30 days since delivery, we won't be able to assist you.


As a result of running a ‘Handcrafted To Order’ practice, we may not be able to offer cancellation after your order has been placed as the order may have already gone into production. However do email us at info@artjapan.co.uk to let us know that you would like to cancel your order at and we may be able to cancel, depending on whether the order has gone into production. 

There are certain situations where only partial refund may be granted. Any item not in its original condition, is damaged not due to our error, or you contacted us 30 days after delivery is not eligible for a refund.

If an order is returned because it was 'Returned to Sender' by the post office, we will try our best to resend the order once we receive confirmation of your updated shipping details within a reasonable timeframe. However, if we don't receive any response from you within the given time, we offer two options:

  • Receive a refund, less shipping costs and the restocking fee or

  • Receive store credit, less the shipping costs.


With the exception of if you decline to pay duties and taxes due to the carrier upon delivery of your order (or you may have failed to pick-it up within the allowable timeframe), the package may be considered abandoned, destroyed, or returned to our distribution centre (at an extremely high cost charged to us). Under these circumstances, we, unfortunately, cannot consider requests for refunds or replacement shipments.

If we do not receive a response from the recipient within 7 days, we will automatically provide store credit to the recipient.

We do not accept refunds or exchanges on any orders shipped outside of the United States. If the product was purchased on sale , we do not accept returns unless for a size exchange. If the item is defective or damaged, we will honour a return, in store credit or send a replacement.

Products must be unused and in a brand new condition. If the product is used or damaged, we will not accept it back. We will not reimburse you for shipping fees.


If the return is due to an error of ours, we will accept responsibility for the shipping costs related to the return. If the return is not due to an error of ours, the buyer accepts full responsibility for all shipping costs.

If you still have not received your credit after 5 working days of us receiving your items, please contact us at info@artjapan.co.uk.


Refund / Exchange / Return Request
We review each case individually and If you would like to request a return, please contact us at info@artjapan.co.uk.

*Include a Printed copy of your Order confirmation or your packing slip in your return package that lists your items that were ordered. Unfortunately the returns and exchanges only apply to domestic orders. International exchanges are exempt.
